Retail FAQ

Jewelry Returns and Resizing:

By selecting a ring size that will require resizing you acknowledge that resized rings are not returnable or refundable. This is due to the personalized nature of ring sizes and our dedication to providing our customers with unaltered, new jewelry.

Rings that require resizing may take 2-3 weeks to ship depending on the workload and season.

Rings shipped in their original size (7) may be returned unaltered and undamaged with their original packaging if you notify us within 3 days of receipt and mail the jewelry back within 7 days of delivery.

Can I have a custom ring or piece of jewelry made?

Yes! send us an email at coloralchemyshop@gmail.com!

Do you use "Lab Made", "Lab Grown", "Synthetic" or "Lab Created" gemstones?

we occasionally use Lab made gemstones for custom orders.

Are your metals recycled or conflict free?

Our gold and silver is 100% recycled AND conflict free.

Are your gemstones certified? do you provide certificates?

Typically, our colored gems do not come with formal lab reports. We buy gemstones from trustworthy sources and utilize basic gemological techniques and external gemologists to verify that our gemstones are natural.

Lab certificates from the lab of your choice can be ordered, but oftentimes the cost of the report is significant compared to the value of the stone so it's not something we typically offer. Some select gems may be offered with reports.

Are your gemstones "treated" in any way?

The vast majority of our gemstones are not treated in any way, if there is an industry accepted treatment on a gemstone, it will be listed clearly in the jewelry or gemstone description.

For example:

Sapphires may be heat-only, or unheated. We do not purchase or sell "beryllium diffused" or any kind of sapphires that have undergone a diffusion treatment to alter or improve their color- we consider these to be lab made materials.

Zircon may be heated to lighten its color.

Blue Topaz is commonly irradiated to produce varying blue colors.

Citrine (Quartz) is usually heated Amethyst

Lavender Quartz is commonly irradiated to produce its unique color.

Garnets are almost never treated in any way

Tourmaline is almost never treated in any way.

Etc.
